Hi, I’m Olivia, a book conservator and embroidery artist based in London, England.

I studied at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation in 2020-2021, and then went on to work as Book Conservator for Shepherds Bindery from 2022-2023. I now offer my book conservation and repair services freelance. Some of my clients are Shepherds Bindery, Bookbinders of London, and the National Conservation Service.

My Services

  • Repaired bible with brown leather cover and decorative metal pieces

    Conservation

I offer professional and ethical book repairs, endeavouring to keep the integrity of each piece I work on while meeting my client’s needs. I understand that conservation can be a very sentimental undertaking, and I’ll take care to centre your experience throughout the process. Things I repair most commonly include family Bibles, cookbooks, and albums.

  • Book with hand-embroidered cover made of light brown silk that resembles tree bark, depicting an orange and brown moth on a circle of blue silk in a goldwork frame

    Embroidery

I’ve been an embroiderer since 2019. In 2023, I decided to combine my love of bookbinding and embroidery. I design and embroider bespoke covers for antiquarian and modern books. Interested in a custom embroidered book cover? Get in touch to discuss!
